We went camping today, in the middle of winter! – (inside that is). We grabbed all our gear, snacks and imagination and really had the BEST time! I was so intrigued by the items Sophie thought to grab, including all the pillows we own, books to read and her toy fishing pond. We had flashlights, our toy campfire, blankets and of course our horses! What a fun way to explore the outside with our imaginations!
What was the most profound…
What was the most profound however was how Sophie and Remi played together. No toy “belonged” to one over the other, everything about this experience was new and exciting and all they wanted to do was enjoy it together. They shared, they laughed and they dreamed. I plan to do this often with them, and hope it becomes one of those core memories that made their childhood special.
P.S. tonight Sophie has slept in the tent now for 3 night strong! ⛺?
