Breath in, Breath out. You are doing a fine job Mama. I know these days of illness can seem long and unproductive… feeling like you’re never doing enough. But you are. You are giving your sick kiddos all the love they need, all the love you can give. It’s hard when you are sick too, mustering up the strength for the big love your kids need can feel impossible. You need to forget about everything else, in these times, these precious moments, nothing else matters except nurturing those precious hearts. For it is you who brings them comfort, it is your chest they rest upon, you they need to snuggle with. So turn off your mind, forget about your list of to-dos, if any of it really matters, it will wait for you.
Your love now is what charters the path for the rest of their days.

But this stuff, providing them a heart that is full of your love, a mind that understands and is patient, a body for them to climb and rest and lay with, these are all the things that build them for tomorrow. It is your love now that they will feel years from now. They will draw upon it, they will instinctively know it, they will succeed because of it. Your love now is what charters the path for all of their days. And boy is your love big!
You are devoting your whole self, and wait till you see what they become. And it will all be because of you. Because of these days, when your heart was tired, your mind a mess, your body weak. All they will ever know is your source Anne. And your source is Love. And love always wins.
